SUMMARY:
The AVP, Operations is responsible for leading operational and fulfillment strategy across the DTC, Amazon, and wholesale channels. This role oversees fulfillment, logistics, inventory management, gift packing, retailer compliance, and operational cost management to support business growth and protect margin.
This position partners closely with Sales, Finance, Planning, IT, and UK headquarters to ensure scalable infrastructure, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment.
ESSENTIAL REPONSIBILITIES:
1. Fulfillment & Logistics Strategy
Lead cross-channel fulfillment strategy across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale accounts
Oversee 3PL operations and warehouse performance (SLAs, KPIs, cost control, quality)
Work with 3PL operations to plan and execute gift and kit packing
Oversee regional freight execution under group-negotiated contracts, driving performance improvements and cost efficiency across channels.
Drive continuous improvement in service levels, shipment accuracy, and cost efficiency
2. Supply Chain & Inventory Management
Partner with Demand Planning and Global teams to support S&OP process
Ensure effective and compliant import / export processes
Align inventory deployment strategy to support retail, DTC, and Amazon growth
Manage operational readiness for new product launches and channel expansion
3. Retail Compliance & Chargeback Management
Establish structured processes to prevent and dispute retailer chargebacks
Partner cross-functionally to resolve root causes (EDI, ASN, pricing, shortages)
Improve compliance metrics across key retail accounts
4. Systems & Process Optimization
Collaborate with IT to improve EDI workflows and system integrations (ERP, WMS, EDI, Amazon APIs)
Develop reporting dashboards to provide executive visibility into freight, inventory, and service performance
Lead operational process improvements to support scale
5. Financial & Budget Ownership
Own freight, warehousing, and operational expense budgets
Monitor freight % to sales and identify cost-saving opportunities
Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
6. Team Leadership
Lead and develop US operations team
Define roles, responsibilities, KPIs, and accountability structure
Build scalable processes and succession planning framework
QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS
8–12+ years of progressive supply chain and operations leadership
Experience managing 3PLs and multi-channel fulfillment
Strong understanding of retailer compliance and EDI processes
Proven track record of cost optimization and operational transformation
Experience working within global/matrix organizations preferred
