JOB SUMMARY:

L’OCCCITANE’s North America Experiential Team is looking for a PR & Influencer Coordinator to represent our brand to external stakeholders such as online/offline influencers, journalists, publishers, agency partners and media outlets. The right candidate should possess traditional communications and PR / marketing skills, and be interested in the media space, as well as influencer marketing and social media.

This individual should be able to efficiently oversee influencer and press marketing channels and help us craft strategies to enhance our overall presence, aligning our mission and unique product offerings with our customers.

Reporting into the Experiential Marketing team, this individual will help drive overall awareness and product exposure across the US market. This role will report to the Manager of PR and Influencer, in partnership with the Experiential Team at large on a day-to-day basis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administration
    • Schedule meetings and organize agendas ahead of calls and notes following calls to ensure team alignment.
    • Oversee financial systems (inclusive of budget line management, vendor payment, remittance communication) on a monthly cadence in Predict.
  • PR
    • Facilitate weekly news recap consisting of relevant partnerships, trends, and industry updates
    • Lead weekly coverage reporting to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    • Manage sample replenishment and organization between distribution center and media contacts.
    • Assist in preparation of PR needs for press launches, store events and mailings
    • Draft media lists for key campaign launches and on trend seasonal moments
    • Write seasonal PR media pitches for press consideration
    • Manage always-on tracker for PR placements
  • Influencer
    • Assist in talent discovery; support in building and maintaining influencer relationships within the US and Canadian markets.
    • Manage product send outs for both organic and paid community on a daily/weekly basis.
    • Support in development and execution of organic mailing program at large.
    • Influencer data management and organization through Tribe Dynamics.
    • Lead relationship building through our key affiliate program, ShopMy (inclusive of: inquiry management, product request facilitation, auditing sales)
    • Oversee Communications inquiry email to ensure requests are met and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Events:
    • Assist in event development and execution, end-to-end, for the Brand’s immersive, hosted experiences across influencer, consumer, and press channels.
    • Support in organization and facilitation of event details.
    • Willingness to travel, if necessary, and attend off-site events

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field, preferably 2 years of work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2-3 years of public relations or communications experience in the beauty or CPG industry

SKILLS:
  • Beauty influencer marketing, talent relations and/or PR experience preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MuckRack
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be personable yet persistent
  • Have a pulse point on trends and willingness to understand the many facets of the L’Occitane brand
  • Understand the brand identity and core commitments, and how they translate to impactful media and influencer partnerships
  • Be highly organized and bring a high level of attention to detail and intellectual rigor, while working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well with multiple teams
  • Ability to multi-task and work within provided deadlines.
  • Has an entrepreneurial attitude; excited about testing new products
  • Needs to be interested in exploring new trends on social media
  • Must be enthusiastic, creative, collaborative, and entrepreneurial and have a go-getter attitude no matter how large or small the project
  • Graphic/visual design and video/multi-media production experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Tribe Dynamics influencer platform, a plus.

PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to come into NYC office 3 days a week
