JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate Manager of Email Marketing is responsible for coordinating and executing the day-to-day email marketing activities, primarily email production, with key business goals of driving database retention and reactivation. This role also assists in email ideation and calendar management.
This role entails building and executing daily emails, generating email segments, customer targeting, tracking and reporting on performance and helping to create engaging & branded revenue-generating email campaigns for L’OCCITANE NA. The ideal candidate is creative with exceptional multi-tasking, technical and analytical skills. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage Adobe Campaign email deployment strategy, schedule & coding:
    • Project management document accounting for all emails coded by local Adobe team
    • Submit and follow up on tickets relating to Adobe platform issues
    • Define targeting strategy for each email send  
    • Workflow & delivery creation when needed to support retail & ad-hoc emails
    • Assist in management of the growth and maintenance of the email database – including new sign-ups and opt-outs
  • Manage Personalization strategy, requests & schedule:
    • Project management document accounting for all emails featuring personalized content
    • Build & maintain personalization features in dedicated technical platform 
  • Responsible for Email Ideation & Creation:
    • Drive e-commerce growth and profitability by developing customer-centric, branded & premium email campaigns
    • Maintain visibility of campaigns industry-wide to help us ideate and execute new email marketing programs
    • Project manage email campaigns production with Design, Website, Ecommerce, Retail, and technical CRM teams

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
    • Achieving email sales goal through strong support of omni-channel activities primarily via email channel
    • Email database retention and reactivation


REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
    • 2+ years’ experience required in Marketing/Digital Marketing
    • Knowledge of retail/beauty industry preferred 

SKILLS:
    • A solid mix of analytical and creative skills, including the ability to copy write
    • Knowledge of ESP software, preferably Adobe Campaign
    • Technical email marketing techniques and understanding of inbox delivery techniques
    • Proven implementation of email best practices a plus
    • HTML programming experience a plus
    • Should be a self-starter, able to multi-task, work under pressure and prioritize
    • A passion to understand the tactics and technologies behind online marketing
    • Delivery / results focus, with strong attention to detail
    • Thrives on owning their job responsibilities and has flexibility
    • Performance and results driven
    • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, with limited supervision and under tight timeframes
    • Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
The compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 - $68,000 for the NYC region. Exact compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to, experience, skills, and geographic location. In addition to annual salary this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program.
